From your first semester at the University, you will be introduced to opportunities available through a Western New England University education and experiential learning opportunities. Specialized career advisors for the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, and Engineering are dedicated to identifying and developing resources to help you cultivate your personal career strategy.

- Interactive activities educating first-year students on self-exploration and career education.
- Sophomore Career Connections
- Sophomore Career Connections is an annual program open to all students who have sophomore
standing and/or are in their second year at WNE. As part of this program, students tell us their major
and career goals (to the best of their ability) and we connect them with a WNE alum working in that field or a related field. In addition, participants attend a series of workshops designed to help them build skills that will prepare them for the working world. Applications are available in November each year, and the program runs during the Spring semester. To apply for the program, complete the application and send to careercenter@wne.edu. The Career Development Center provides programs from freshman through senior year that help students develop professional skills and job search strategies. Staff members help you write an attention-grabbing résumé, perfect interview skills, review job search strategies, or assist with the graduate school application process. To connect you to potential employers, we organize on-campus career fairs, recruitment activities, and boot camps.
