Make Your Seat Deposit

Once accepted, to reserve your seat in the class, you must submit your non-refundable seat deposit(s). All deposits are credited directly towards your tuition and fees. Deposit deadlines will vary based upon the date that you were accepted. Please refer to your Applicant Status Page for your specific deposit deadline.

On-campus Housing

On-campus housing applications are currently being accepted. If living on-campus is a priority for you, we encourage you to submit your application and deposit as soon as possible. You can find out more information, including pricing, on this page. Graduate housing placements are limited. They are assigned on a first-come first-served basis. You will be placed on the list according to the date that your completed housing application and deposit are received by our Office of Residence Life. Should all places fill up, you will be placed on a waitlist in the same order. In the past, many incoming law students who were on the housing waitlist were able to secure an on-campus placement.

Please note that your seat deposit, described above, is a separate deposit from the on-campus housing deposit discussed here. In order to be fair to all applicants, you must submit your seat deposit and secure a seat in the class before you will be allowed to hold an on-campus housing assignment. If you prefer to live on-campus, you must submit both your seat deposit(s) and a housing deposit.

Off-Campus Housing

The Pioneer Valley also presents a wide assortment of affordable, convenient housing options for students. Rental opportunities range from apartment complexes in downtown Springfield; Victorian homes in the city’s residential neighborhoods; garden apartments in adjoining suburbs; small houses in rural areas; and apartments in Northampton, the area’s eclectic and hip college town. Rentals in the Springfield area generally range from $500 to $900 per month.

We are available to assist in finding the right housing for you.  We encourage you to contact the Admissions Office at 800-782-6665 or by email at admissions@law.wne.edu with any questions. For a list of some of the available housing options, check out the Housing List below. Contact Admissions for the password.

Orientation August 2023

Mandatory First-Year Orientation for all entering students will take place August 21 to August 24.

Orientation packets for deposited students will be sent in June and contain the schedule for Orientation, your 1L schedule for the fall and spring semesters, your account information for Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Bloomberg Law, and more!

Required Final Transcript

You must provide an official final transcript, showing your undergraduate degree and the date it was awarded, to satisfy the American Bar Association (ABA) requirements. This final transcript should arrive prior to the start of Orientation. If the final transcript has not been received by October 15th, you will be dismissed from the School of Law.

If the transcript that you have already provided to LSAC was a final degree-granting transcript, then no further action is required. However, if your transcript(s) were submitted to LSAC prior to the date that your degree was conferred, you must request that an updated final official transcript containing the required details be submitted to LSAC. In the alternative, you may have your degree-granting institution send your final transcript directly to us here at Western New England University School of Law. Should you have any questions regarding your final transcript, please contact the Office of Admissions.

Center for Health and Wellness/Insurance

In order to meet your healthcare needs and comply with the requirements of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Western New England University, you will need to complete the "Medical History, Physical Examination and Immunization Form" and the "Health Insurance Waiver/Enrollment Form." You may access these forms online.
