Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Clubs

At Western New England University and within the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are necessary components of the co-curricular experience of our students. With this in mind, we have a number of clubs and organizations dedicated to this fundamental component of our operation as stewards of equality.

DEI Clubs and Organizations

  • Black Student Union

With the ultimate goal of providing a voice for the Black student body, this organization creates a safe space for its members to voice their concerns, create room for productivity, and executing services and programs geared towards lifting Black voices.

  • Feminists Unite!

Feminists Unite! provides a meeting space for feminists on campus, regardless of gender, major, and previous knowledge on the subject. Spend time discussing feminist theory, offering positive encouragement, and building a community.

  • Gender/Sexuality Alliance

    GSA

GSA offers a community of friendship and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and asexual members of the Western New England community and their allies. It facilitates a forum for the discussion of issues relating to gender, sexuality, and the LGBTQA community. GSA members take part in many activities and events such as Transgender Day of Remembrance, National Day of Silence, numerous national campaigns, and an array of fun social events.

  • International Club

Have an interest in international affairs and coming together with people from all over the world? Join the international club!

*Club is currently inactive - to activate, any interested students are invited to visit Student Involvement and Leadership to begin the club reactivation process.

  • United and Mutually Equal

    U&ME

United & Mutually Equal is a multicultural student organization that is open to all students of Western New England University who have a desire to learn about people from different cultural backgrounds and ethnicities. The primary purpose of U&ME is to celebrate our differences and embrace our diversity, throughout the campus, as well as promote ideals of mutual equality, respect, and social justice.
