Constitution Day and Citizenship Day
Each year on September 17, Western New England University joins the nation in observing Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. This day commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787 and recognizes all who have become citizens of the United States.
In partnership with the Institute for Legislative and Governmental Affairs and the Department of History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics, the University provides educational programming and resources to engage our community in reflection on the Constitution’s enduring significance.
