The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) is designed to address the growing need for skilled professionals who can apply data analytics to solve business challenges. Students will be provided with the fundamental approaches, methods, and analytical toolkits of data analytics, decision sciences, applied operational research, and statistics needed to effectively leverage data to solve business challenges.

Admissions Requirements

  • Successful completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. A wide variety of academic backgrounds will be considered for admission. If your degree is in progress, you can still apply for admission. An undergraduate degree in business analytics or related field is not required, however, the MS in Business Analytics has three prerequisites:
    • At least two college-level mathematics courses, including statistics
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is typically required for admission. Candidates with an undergraduate GPA below a 3.0 will be considered on a case-by-case basis based on GMAT test scores or professional experience.
  • GMAT (or GRE) or request for a waiver of the GMAT. Reference the GMAT Waiver Form found on the Graduate Admissions web page (Graduate Admission Process).
Admissions Process

Faculty

Our faculty has the background and experience to prepare you for a career in the new and exciting field of Analytics. Courses are taught from practitioner's view of the business world and prepare you for entry-level positions in the field. Faculty are trained with the use of SAS Analytics, SAP ERP, SAP BW, SAP Analytics, and IBM Analytics tools, which are taught in the courses. These tools are industry standard and the list is continuously updated.

MS in Business Analytics courses are held primarily in person during the day, with classes meeting 1-2 times per week. Graduate business analytics courses will typically be offered during the fall and spring semesters. The program is designed primarily for full-time candidates and can be completed two years.
