Attention
One of the distinctions of a private university is the personalized attention students receive from faculty, staff, administrators, coaches, and upper-class students. At Western New England University, we take that commitment to a whole new level. Our intentionally small class sizes create an environment where you will feel comfortable engaging in discussions and asking questions. A focus on mentorship begins at SOAR (Summer Orientation and Registration), where you will meet your student Peer Advisor, and continues through our renowned First Year Program, which is an integral part of your entire learning experience.
Focused On You
While our faculty are subject-matter experts, researchers, and noted scholars, they have made the decision to pursue their passion to teach. Classroom teaching is their primary focus and you will be the center of their attention. With an undergraduate student to faculty ratio of 12:1 and average class sizes of just 18 students, you will get to know your professors as they learn about your interests and aspirations. They'll help mentor and guide you to choose the courses and experiential learning opportunities to keep you on track with your personal goals.
Come On In
Faculty open their doors during office hours to welcome questions or to explore classroom discussions in greater depth. While they are active in scholarly writing and research, our faculty are first and foremost excellent classroom teachers.
Ensure A Strong Finish
The Kevin S. and Sandra E. Delbridge Career Center offers innovative programming from freshman through senior year to help you develop professional skills and job search strategies. Our staff will help you write an attention-grabbing résumé, perfect interview skills, review job search strategies, or assist with the graduate school application process. To connect you to potential internship sponsor and employers, we organize on-campus career fairs, recruitment activities, and boot camps. To further enhance career readiness, the Center will undergo a major expansion and modernization beginning in the summer of 2020.
