New to innovation? The Western Mass Innovation Jam (WMIJ) is designed to help you unlock your innovation potential and develop skills essential to innovating in any context. You will learn design thinking strategies for developing ideas and innovations.
Do you already have an idea for a new venture? WMIJ is for you too! WMIJ is designed to help you work through the key components of a good early stage idea, collaborate with others, and get feedback on your idea.
The weekend starts with brainstorming on individual product/service ideas and ends with final pitch for the team’s innovation. Experienced innovators and entrepreneurs will help guide you through the weekend and final pitch.
This resume building opportunity is open to all students of all disciplines. Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, and Western New England University are the collegiate hosts. The weekend is open to all Grinspoon College/Universities.

The mission of the Grinspoon Entrepreneurship Initiative is to encourage entrepreneurial activity in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts by fostering an educational environment among participating colleges and universities that informs, supports, and inspires students, and by recognizing and awarding students who display entrepreneurial spirit. Students typically compete in the Elevator Pitch Competition and the Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards.
