In an announcement that underscores Western New England University's tradition of celebrating excellence and leadership, the University is proud to reveal the Commencement speakers for its 2024 ceremonies. Esteemed journalist Latoyia Edwards will address the undergraduate class, while Commissioner Ashley Randle L’14 will speak to graduate students.
This year's Commencement will be held at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA. Both ceremonies will happen on the same day—Sunday, May 19, 2024.
Each Undergraduate level graduating student will receive 8 tickets for the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony.
Each Graduate level graduating student will receive 15 tickets for the Graduate Commencement Ceremony.
The link to order tickets and information on extra tickets will be available in April.
Expanded Guest Capacity: With the MassMutual Center's substantial seating capacity, we can now remove any restrictions on the number of guests that each graduate can invite. Each senior will receive 8 tickets, but may request additional if needed. This means that extended family members and friends will no longer face the challenge of securing a ticket.
Weather Reliability: The MassMutual Center provides a climate-controlled environment, eliminating the uncertainty associated with outdoor ceremonies. This ensures that our celebration will proceed smoothly regardless of weather conditions. The venue is also fully ADA-compliant, prioritizing accessibility for all attendees.
Convenient Parking: Ample parking options, including nearby lots and garages, will make attending the ceremony hassle-free for all.
Optimal Viewing Experience: The MassMutual Center's layout guarantees an unobstructed view of the ceremony for every guest. Additionally, attendees can watch their graduate cross the stage on a giant screen, ensuring a memorable and inclusive experience.
