Background

Dr. Gross joined the faculty at Western New England University in 2022 after teaching as an adjunct professor in the OT department for 5 years. Prior to this, she specialized in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation as a CHT (certified hand therapist). She also holds specialty certifications in cannabis science and medicine, Kinesiotaping, and Dynamic taping. She has been published and has taught many continuing education courses for her expertise in taping techniques, cannabis science, upper extremity rehabilitation, wound care, and sensory integration for the adult population. Early in her career, Dr. Gross had the opportunity to gain experience working with multiple populations in a variety of settings, including mental health, skilled nursing, inpatient acute care, pediatrics, and home health.

Currently, Dr. Gross teaches anatomical kinesiology, population health, outpatient orthopedics and mentors students during their doctoral experiential. She serves as the chair of the WNE OTD curriculum committee, secretary of the WNE OTD academic standards committee and voting member of the WNE OTD admissions committee.

In her spare time, Dr. Gross owns and operates Sparkle Time Studio, a face painting, henna, and glitter tattoo company. She also enjoys day trips and fall fairs with her husband and 3 daughters.
