Background

Prof. Newcombe teaches Lawyering Skills, Appellate Advocacy, and Mindfulness in Law Practice. She served as the Associate Dean for Library and Information Resources  from 2011 through August 2021. She has been with Western New England University School of Law since 1995, holding a variety of librarian and administrative positions in the Library. 

A 2001 cum laude graduate of the School of Law, Prof. Newcombe also served as the Articles Editor for the Western New England Law Review. She has taught Legal Research and Writing at Bay Path University and Elms College, and courses on Law Librarianship and Information Policy at the University of Rhode Island's Graduate School of Library and Information Studies. Prior to working in academia, Prof. Newcombe worked in the private sector at Morrison & Foerster in Washington, D.C., and Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City.
