Education
B.S. in Environmental and Forest Biology, SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry
Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Therapeutics, SUNY at Buffalo - Roswell Park Cancer Institute
Post-doctoral fellowship in RNA Biology Division, New England Biolabs, Inc.
Research Interests
My research is in the field of gene regulation at the transcriptional level, primarily by DNA methylation and hydroxymethylation. My major focus is cancer research, especially prostate cancer, with projects that examine the function of DNA modifications in gene regulation and how they may be disrupted in cancer at specific locations or across the entire genome. I am also interested in educational research and how to optimally teach pharmacogenomics content to Doctor of Pharmacy and Master’s students.
