International Student Employees
F-1 and J-1 students are generally permitted to work part-time on-campus as long as you are maintaining your immigration status. Acceptable employment includes: work in the campus bookstore, libraries, OIT, administrative offices, and work performed on WNE's premises for an outside contractor or firm as long as the employer provides direct services to students (i.e. work for a food service company at WNE).
Employment is limited to a total of 20-hours per week while school is in session, 40-hours per week during WNE's vacation periods (i.e. Winter Break, Spring Break, Summer). You may have multiple jobs on-campus as long as the total hours from all your jobs are under the hour limits noted above.
Note: F or J students who complete their program, withdraw from classes, or who have otherwise failed to maintain status, must discontinue on-campus employment immediately.
