Library
The primary mission of the Law Library is to support and enhance the integrated and collaborative research and educational endeavors of the students, faculty, and staff of the Western New England University School of Law. The secondary mission is to assist other individuals in finding needed legal information.
In particular, the Law Library serves the needs of its patrons by:
- Identifying, collecting, organizing, preserving, locating, and disseminating legal and law-related materials and resources
- Offering a full range of research assistance, services, and guidance to Law School students, faculty, and staff
- Supporting the research efforts of the larger academic and legal communities
- Assisting the public in using our legal collection
We seek to foster a confidential dialogue between staff and patrons, and to provide effective service and instructional programs in a welcoming, caring, and accurate manner.
We promote a safe and inviting environment conducive to the pursuit of academic activity—for law students seeking a quiet study space, as well as a gathering place for the exchange of ideas.
We endeavor to implement and use the newest technologies, balanced with traditional formats, to provide access to information products and services in creative and practical ways.
