The College of Engineering Class of 1966-Day Division recaptured the Blue and Gold Spirit September 23-26 with reunion events, which began with the Golden Grads Luncheon on Friday. The reunion took place on Homecoming Weekend and included dinner at Max’s Tavern in Springfield on Sunday.
On Monday, the alumni enjoyed a reception at Sleith Hall and were welcomed by Trustee Steve Kitrosser ’66, Don Fife ’66, Dean Hossein Cheraghi, Assistant Dean Richard Grabiec, and Director of Alumni Relations Kathy Pappas ’98. President Anthony S. Caprio also spoke at the reception.
The reunioners celebrated their half-century of being alumni with descriptions of their personal histories, attended presentations of research projects by faculty and students, received a tour of Sleith Hall, as well as a tour of campus. They concluded the day with dinner at The Fort-Student Prince Restaurant in Springfield.
Engineering alumni participants in the weekend events included Jan Dommel '66/G'71, Raymond Gordon '66, Neil McElwey '66, John Themistos '66, Tak Argentinis '66, Donald Fife '66, Trustee Steve Kitrosser '66, Roger Lavallee '66, and Carl LeGrand '66/G'74.
