On September 7, AnnMarie Harding ’79, director of public relations at Max’s Tavern in Springfield, spoke to students in the Business Communication class taught by Professional Educator of Communications Brenda Garton-Sjoberg. One of Harding’s former interns, Amanda Keough ’11, an agent at Rovithis Realty in East Longmeadow, MA, also addressed the students.
Harding has recruited many interns from Western New England University over the years. In fact, Liana Festo, a senior in the Business Communication class, is interning for her at Max’s this semester.
Since 2001, Harding has been speaking to this class about her career in event planning. According to Harding, it is a pleasure for her to give back to her alma mater, and she enjoys connecting students with people in the community through this successful internship program.
