Support
At Western New England University, we believe that student success is everyone's responsibility. That's why we offer a network of support for first year and transfer students; mentoring programming specifically for sophomores; academic tutoring; faculty advisors for undergraduate and graduate students; career development events; and an entire community of people dedicated to helping each student excel.
Meaningful Connections
Supporting students is more than a job here. It is simply what we do, naturally. It is those personal connections, from the dining staff member who not only remembers how you like your favorite sandwich, but also comes to graduation to cheer you on, to the professor you text from the elevator when you land your dream job, that makes Western New England so much more than great University to earn a degree.
Start with a Great First Year
The First Year Program is centered around you. We give you the tools and support to excel academically and socially. The program kicks off with Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR), an interactive program with fun activities to help you (and your parents) get to know our campus community.
New Perspectives
With small class sizes and a warm and welcoming community, we are able to take a personal interest in the success of international students. Our International Admissions counselors are your first point of contact in learning more about our University. Your counselors also work closely with our Office of International Student and Scholar Services on matters relating to immigration as well as academic, social, financial, and personal concerns relevant to daily life in the United States.
U&ME and More
Everyone feels at home at the Office of Inclusive Excellence because its open doors make it a place where students come to share, bond, and celebrate their achievements. From great upper-class mentors to weekend trips, and fun and educational events through the U&ME mulicultural club, the Office oversees a variety of programs that help can help you transition to life as a Golden Bear.
