Department of Management

Shaping the Future of Organizations

The Department of Management has educated leaders who influence industry, finance, healthcare, government, and nonprofit organizations. You will find alumni of our undergraduate and graduate programs in executive positions throughout the region and increasingly around the globe.

Programs in General Business and Management and Leadership at the undergraduate level provide students with a broad-based understanding of all business functions to prepare them to launch their careers and have a global understanding of these areas as they ascend to leadership positions. Our flagship MBA program has been the catalyst for thousands of graduates to advance to executive positions, while the MS in Organizational Leadership continues to build on the University’s stellar reputation as a leader in business education. Undergraduates in most academic majors can pursue combined five-year programs with the MBA or MS in Organizational Leadership. Qualified students pursuing Juris Doctor, Pharmacy, or Engineering Management degrees may also enroll in dual business master’s degree programs.

As graduates of leading business schools and universities, our faculty are actively engaged in advancing the field of business through research, consulting, and scholarship. All tenured-tracked faculty have terminal degrees. They helped develop the region’s Springfield Leadership Institute for rising managers and now offer guidance to area corporations through the Management Institute
