Research and Education

The Center for Nanomanufacturing is a research and education center based at Western New England University.

Our mission is to accelerate market penetration of nanomaterials through fundamental and cross-disciplinary research. We also provide research training to undergraduate and graduate students to broaden the social and economic impact of nanotechnologies for various applications such as energy harvesting, nanomedicine, sensing and imaging, separation and purification, and advanced composite materials.

Dr. Jingzhou (Frank) Zhao is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Western New England University. His research focus is on the establishment of novel manufacturing processes, theoretical models, computational methods, and control strategies for the high-volume production of structured nanomaterials and advanced sensors.
