Due to the expected winter storm, the University will close campus beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. The campus will remain closed through Monday, and we expect to resume normal operations on Tuesday morning. If conditions change, we will share updates promptly.
Campus Services During the Closure
While most in-person activities will pause, essential services will remain available. Public Safety and Facilities will be on campus throughout the storm, and the following services are expected to remain open or staffed:
Students living on campus should expect regular support from Residence Life and Public Safety.
Classes and Work During the Closure
Students
Scheduled face-to-face classes will not take place on campus. At the discretion of faculty, some in-person classes may be held remotely. Faculty will communicate directly, so please check your email and course site for updates.
Classes that are already scheduled to be fully remote will continue as usual unless otherwise communicated by your instructor.
Staff
Staff who are able to work remotely should coordinate with their supervisors as appropriate.

The University’s Inclement Weather Policy is available on the WNE website via the homepage banner. We will communicate any changes or reopening details through WNE Alert, email, and the University website.
The tuition for the LLM in Elder Law and Estate Planning is charged on a per credit hour basis. The LLM Program per credit charge for the 2025-2026 academic year is $1,750.
In addition to tuition, there is also a mandatory fee of $340 per semester. (Please note the fee cost is subject to change)
The cost for LLM Alumni to audit a course is $375 per course.
The University operates on an academic term basis by which commitments are made in advance to teaching staff and to others whose services are essential to the operation of the University. Under University policy and the School of Law's Academic Rules, refunds are made to students based on our refund schedule.
Students who withdraw from a class or from the LLM Program must notify Carmen Alexander Blatch in the LLM Office at the School of Law and a Withdrawal Form will need to be filled out and emailed at the time of withdrawal. Approved refunds will be computed on the basis of the date appearing on the official withdrawal form. Absence from class does not constitute withdrawal from a course.
No refunds will be made on fees other than tuition.
Students who use the deferred tuition payment plan are obligated to pay in accordance with the above schedule. If, at the end of a semester, a student has not paid the accrued charges for that semester, the student will be designated "not in good standing" until the charges are paid.
Students who withdraw with an unpaid balance will be financially liable for any amount remaining unpaid after a refund credit has been applied to the balance.
No student may withdraw in good standing from the University unless all financial obligations have been met.
Western New England University has partnered with Official Payments to offer a secure and convenient payment plan option for fall and spring semesters. Enrollment in the payment plan is by semester.
To apply for financial aid, file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Additional information about Federal Direct Student Loans and Alternative Financing can be found on the Western New England University Enrollment Services webpage.
Federal Loans are available for students taking six credits or more per semester. Private Loans are available for less than six credits.
Employer Reimbursement Payment Plan is designed for students receiving reimbursement from their employer for tuition and fees. Students may download a copy of our Employer Reimbursement Extension Plan from the Enrollment Services webpage.
Students whose employer pays the University directly must provide Western New England University with an employer authorization form or a letter from their employer on company letterhead, indicating their commitment to pay under direct billing. The letters should also include billing contact information. New authorization is required each semester and can be faxed to the Enrollment Services Office, Attention Billing at 413-796-2081.
Payments can be made online through Self-Service. You will see a make a payment link under “Student Finance”. Payments can be made using e-check, debit, or credit card. Please note that a convenience fee will be charged when using a debit/credit card.
