Laura A. Fisher ’15 (Director of Career Services) recently co-authored and published a law review article with Bryon W. Harmon '96. Attorney Harmon is a partner in the Trusts and Estates practice group at Shipman & Goodwin, LLP in Hartford and Greenwich, Connecticut. The article, entitled "THE PRUDENCE OF PASSIVITY: An Argument for Default Passive Management in Trust Investing” was published in The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Law Journal, Vol. 44, No. 2 (Spring 2019). It traces the historical development of financial scholarship regarding investment practices vis-à-vis trust investment legal scholarship addressing the evolution of fiduciary duties, and reviews the modern prudent investing rules governing trust investment. It explores whether the passive approach is encouraged--or even required--by law.

Professor Levi was recognized by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots this June. The Attorney General’s office selected a handful of LGBTQ lawyers in Massachusetts that it believes is at the pioneering forefront of LGBTQ activism and advancement. She also received the Kevin Larkin Community Service Award in May from the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association.
