On Thursday, October 13, in the mall area of the St. Germain Campus Center, Western New England University hosted “The World Travel Fair” to connect students with study abroad opportunities. Students learned about the incredible opportunities offered while taking college courses and traveling to a foreign country.

The fair offered several displays of international programs where students learned about short-term seminar trips to destinations such as Cuba, Guatemala, Italy, South Africa, China, and Australia, as well as information about the University's Summer London program, and the Sophomore Experience Abroad program in England. “There are a variety of options ranging in cost, duration, destination, and time of the year,” explained Assistant Director of Study Abroad Josie Brown-Rose.

Students also had the opportunity to meet with representatives from traditional semester-long programs at other universities around the world.

Professional Educator of Management in the College of Business Jack Greeley has coordinated many travel courses with students and believes, “Western New England University demonstrates a real commitment to engage its students in studying abroad. Global competency is an important part of every student's education, and the University offers an exciting range of options.”

The study abroad trips planned for 2017 are now accepting applications. For additional information, contact Assistant Director of Study Abroad Josie Brown-Rose at josie.brown-rose@wne.edu. or visit https://www1.wne.edu/academics/study-abroad/
