Western New England University College of Business has announced that it now offers an exclusively online Master of Science in Accounting program beginning April 2017. Graduate students often need to merge their pursuit of an advanced degree with full or part-time employment. The online MS in Accounting program will enable students to work while also studying for and taking the CPA exam in Connecticut or Massachusetts. The MS in Accounting degree equips students with the needed skills in planning, controlling, evaluation, and analysis that characterize a successful career in accounting.
“Public and private sector institutions of every size rely on expert accounting professionals to properly manage and protect their finances in a global economy,” says Dr. Janelle Goodnight, assistant dean for Graduate Studies, College of Business at Western New England University. “This program will serve working professionals who seek the flexibility and support necessary while earning their masters degree, and students who simply find it more convenient to study online.”
The MS in Accounting program provides an affordable opportunity to prepare for high-level accounting positions in public accounting, corporate, government, or nonprofit business environments. The graduate program offers students the opportunity for in-depth study on topics such as Globalization, Forensic Accounting, Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Advanced Auditing. Students enrolled in the online program receive the same instruction, assignments, and exams that the on-campus program has always offered.
Western New England University is the only private institution in western Massachusetts accredited by AACSB International and is among fewer than 5% of business schools in the world to hold this accreditation.
