This summer marks the launch of “Mission: Ignition,” a unique summer exploration for high school students at Western New England University. “Mission: Ignition” consists of five separate programs designed to allow students to explore new ideas that will spark their passion and creativity while exploring potential college majors and career paths.
“This is an outstanding opportunity for high school students to get hands-on experience in a specific field,” says Judith Curran, associate director for public relations and coordinator of the summer program offerings. “Our Western New England University faculty have gone above and beyond to create unique experiences while exposing promising students to a college learning environment.”
The offerings are designed for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. All five enrichment programs will be led by Western New England University faculty members, each a respected expert in their field. Topics covered include:
- Stock Market Experience
- Introduction to STEM and Robotics
- Music and Math
- Broadcast Bootcamp
- Forensic Investigation and Trial Skills
