College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences student Christina Verbetsky won the inaugural student poster competition at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Annual Meeting held in Boston from July 21-25. The title of her winning poster was "Zafirlukast Inhibits Cancer Cell Growth via Inhibition of Thiol Isomerase Activity."

The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, founded in 1900, is the national organization representing pharmacy education in the United States. Pharmacy is the third largest health profession - after nursing and medicine - with more than 200,000 clinicians practicing in community pharmacies, hospitals and many other healthcare settings.

AACP's programming provides pharmacy educators with opportunities to network with peers at annual, interim, and other meetings for the purposes of enrichment, professional growth, and development.
