Dr. Anthony S. Caprio has announced the appointment of two new members of the faculty in the University’s College of Business.
Howard Jean-Denis had been named Visiting Instructor of Management. Jean-Denis has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Connecticut and Springfield Technical Community College. His research interests include strategic entrepreneurship, Ubuntu philosophy, international management, and CEOs. A Ph.D. candidate at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Jean-Denis holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from Bentley University.
Alison L. Sawyer has been named Professor of Practice in Accounting. A Certified Public Accountant with more than 15 years’ experience executing large scale financial investigations, she worked as Associate Managing Director with Kroll Associates in New York and London, advising clients on how to implement controls to minimize the risk of fraud, corruption, and regulatory issues. She’s also served as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and as an adjunct faculty member at New York University and Holyoke Community College. Sawyer holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Master of Accounting and Professional Consultancy, and an MBA from Villanova University.
