The Office of First Year Students and Students in Transition Announce the selection of 48 Peer Advisors for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Peer Advisors (PAs) are a group of student leaders dedicated to helping first-year and transfer students in their transition to Western New England University. Peer Advisors work the summer and academic year to assist new students in the formation of their personal success plan and act as an advocate for student success. Success is much more probable when students have direction and purpose as they experience a variety of transitions, including acclimation to academic life, major selection, and overall academics. The personal success plan provides a framework for establishing specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely goals for the first semester.

Each first year student is assigned to a Peer Advisor who serves as a source of information, point of first contact, and conduit to university programs and support services. Peer Advisors are a highly select and comprehensively trained team of students who undergo over 150 hours of training in order to better support first year students.
