Western New England University held its 45th Annual Cocurricular Award Ceremony recognizing those students who have distinguished themselves within the area of cocurricular involvement.
"Western New England University is truly enhanced by the students honored here this evening by their demonstrated willingness to serve the community, both on and off campus. Our lives have been enriched by their service." said Maureen Hart Keizer, Associate Dean of Students at the dinner celebration held on April 27.
The Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development annually coordinates the Cocurricular Awards dinner and ceremony marking the culmination of a year of student programming and community service by over 70 active clubs and organizations at Western New England University. From a pool of over 90 deserving nominated students, the following 18 were selected to receive awards:

University staff member, Melissa Lambert, was chosen to receive the Golden Bear Award. Lambert is the Operations Manager in the Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development.
