Four Western New England University students spent part of their summer at IESEG School of Management in Paris under a special arrangement with Western New England. Tanner Demers (marketing), Audrey Lee (international business), Nick Michalski (sport management), and Chloe Wood (accounting) attended classes at IESEG's Paris campus in La Defense (business district) the entire month of July, taking different classes each week in the morning, while studying French language in the afternoon.

Approximately 60 students from more than a dozen international institutions attended this year's International Summer Academy, which included cultural events and field trips on Wednesdays, with free time to explore on their own in the evenings and on weekends. Professor of Sport Management Curt Hamakawa also taught a course at IESEG for the second time on the bidding process for cities and countries seeking to host the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup.

Classes offered included European Integration, Intercultural Communication, Irrational Consumer Behavior, Supply Chain Management, Fashion Business, Corporate Diplomacy, Digital Marketing, Managing and Leading, Design Thinking for Business, and International Sport.

This unique opportunity for WNE students to attend the IESEG International Summer Academy on a tuition-free basis was made possible through the longstanding partnership agreement between the two schools.
