The Stadium Managers Association Foundation recently announced that Western New England sport management and marketing major, Cameron Coe, was selected as a 2019-20 SMA Foundation scholarship recipient. This prestigious scholarship program annually awards a maximum of three scholarships nationwide to undergraduate and/or graduate students pursuing degrees in sport management/administration.

Coe, who is an active member of the campus community, serves as president of the Sport Management Association, vice president of the Marketing Association, and sports director of the student-run campus radio station, WNEK. He is also a two-year freshman seminar assistant for first-year sport management students and a student ambassador for the Admissions Office. Coe's academic accolades include being a Cohen Scholar and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society of AACSB-accredited business schools.

According to Mary Mycka, executive director of the SMA Foundation, the award includes a $3,500 tuition scholarship and ex-officio (non-voting) membership on the Foundation Board of Directors. As a scholarship recipient, Coe also has the opportunity to attend the annual SMA Conference, which will be held February 2-6, 2020, in Phoenix.

The Stadium Managers Association was established in 1974 and is the primary industry network organization of public sport authorities, facility managers and suppliers. The SMA Foundation was created in 2006 "to provide tuition assistance for educational purposes, special projects and programs that will facilitate advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the field of stadium management."
