Western New England University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (WNEU COPHS) welcomed six Chinese pharmacists on September 4, 2019 to the University to attend the International Clinical Pharmacy Training Program. The program is jointly sponsored by the Chinese Medical association - Clinical Pharmacy Branch, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH).

While at the College, a variety of topic discussions on pharmacy education and training will be offered to the pharmacists, and they will have opportunities to observe didactic/lab lectures.

The mission of the program is to provide Chinese clinical pharmacists advanced training through US-based educational and clinical resources. The program adopts the "1+4+1" model: 1-month academic pharmacy education learning at WNEU COPHS, 4-month advanced clinical pharmacy training at YNHH, and 1-month capstone project.

This is the fourth cohort following the successful inaugural group started in 2016. The program represents a new and unique opportunity for international collaboration at Western New England University and Yale New Haven Hospital.
