Western New England University's Center for International Sport Business (CISB) will host a talk by Retired Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army and former U.S. Olympic Committee Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Pat Rodgers on Wednesday, September 25 in the Lyman and Leslie Wood Auditorium in Sleith Hall at 7:00 p.m. This event, is free and open to the public, and is made possible by a generous grant from the Western New England University Alumni Association.

Pat Rodgers is a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army and spent 23 years in the military, where he served as a platoon leader and company commander, earning five Bronze Stars during two combat tours of duty in Vietnam.

Hired by the U.S. Olympic Committee in 2000 as its first Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer in the wake of the Salt Lake City Olympics corruption scandal, Rodgers developed a comprehensive ethics and compliance program to include a code of ethics, governance policies, and staff and volunteer training, in addition to conducting investigations and providing ethics counseling. In 2003, Rodgers testified before the U.S. Senate over the USOC's internal turmoil that resulted in significant structural and governance reforms.

Established in 2007, the CISB is a forum for the study of the business of sport with an international focus, and in addition to bringing to campus more than 40 influential personalities from sport and business, the Center has organized and led six student trips to three Olympic Games and three FIFA World Cups.
