Western New England University's Division of Occupational Therapy will host an information session for prospective students interested in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program on Wednesday, October 9 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Blake Law Center, second floor.
During the information session, students, faculty and staff from the Division of Occupational Therapy will provide information about the program, including the curriculum, field work opportunities, and admissions process. These representatives will also answer questions that prospective students may have.
In 2017, Western New England University became the first institution in western Massachusetts to offer the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree. Students earn their doctorate over the course of nine semesters of study completed in three years. The program combines classroom learning, the development of motor learning and performance laboratory skills, two levels of on-site fieldwork experience, and a Doctoral Experiential Residency.
