The Pioneer Valley Interprofessional Education Collaborative (PV-IPEC) will host its Annual Faculty and Staff Professional Development Program on Tuesday, October 1, from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Baystate Health Whitney Avenue Conference Center, 361 Whitney Avenue, Holyoke.
This year's event is focused on increasing patient safety though improving interprofessional collaboration, communication and education. Approximately 100 health professionals in Western Massachusetts will view the documentary, "To Err is Human" followed by a whole group and round table discussions.
PV-IPEC is comprised of professionals from higher education institutions and healthcare facilities who are focused on increasing interprofessional collaboration in practice settings and preparing future professionals to deliver team-based care to improve care and health, reduce cost, and improve job satisfaction. PV-IPEC is dedicated to transforming the delivery of healthcare in existing and emerging practice settings in the Pioneer Valley to an interprofessional collaborative approach and preparing new healthcare professionals to practice as a team.
