Western New England University recently inducted four former student-athletes into the Downes Athletic Hall of Fame during a ceremony at Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, Mass.

Jesse Morrison '96 (wrestling), Alison (Reseigne) Robb '00 (women's soccer), Tara (Cushman) Amato '06 (women's lacrosse) and Lisa (Masella) Saunders '06 were honored for their contributions to Western New England athletics with their induction as the 21st Hall of Fame class in school history.

The addition of four new members brings the total number of Downes Athletic Hall of Fame inductees to 106. The Hall of Fame was established in 1999 to pay tribute to the outstanding performances of student-athletes, contributors, coaches, administrators and teams that have shaped the rich history of Western New England Athletics. The Hall of Fame is named in honor of Arthur William "Red" Downes, a member of the Western New England coaching staff and faculty for 50 years who was inducted in the inaugural 1999 class.

More information on the 2019 Hall of Fame inductees can be found here.

Also recognized on at the event were Western New England's 2018-19 student-athlete award winners John Boyle (Coca-Cola Male Athlete of the Year), Meghan Orbann (Coca-Cola Female Athlete of the Year), Bob Hamel (Male Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year) and Erin Grimes (Female Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year).
