The Western New England University (WNE) College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (CoPHS) will hold its tenth annual Continuing Pharmacy Education and Preceptor Development Conference Thursday, October 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. There is no charge to attend the conference, but advanced registration is required.
The virtual conference is designed to help bring WNE preceptors together so that they can stay up to date on the experiential education changes. In addition, the event helps preceptors expand their skills as educators while participating in continuing education opportunities.
Hundreds of regional pharmacists from New England participate each year in the full-day training program, which will provide insight into legal issues impacting the pharmacy profession, preceptor development, and updates on clinical therapeutics.
The workshops this year include:- Regulatory Update October 2021 with Michelle Chan and William Frisch
- Updates from the DPH Drug Control Program with David Johnson
- Perspectives on Challenging Learners: Overcoming Barriers for a Positive Learning Experience with James Sarigianis
- Stoking the Motivational Fire on Clinical Rotations with Kimberly Peraturo
- New Drug Update 2021 with Daniel Hussar
Upon completion of the program, attendees will earn up to six contact hours of ACPE accredited Continuing Pharmacy Education.
