Western New England University (WNE) is pleased to announce The New Writers Reading Series, featuring Jung Yun, the author of O Beautiful. This literary evening is scheduled for Thursday, October 26, at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in Room 200 of the Center for the Sciences and Pharmacy.
Jung Yun is a distinguished author with a remarkable literary career. Her book, O Beautiful, has earned recognition as a New York Times Editors' Choice and was named a San Francisco Chronicle Book of the Year. Additionally, Yun's work Shelter received acclaim, being long-listed for the Center for Fiction's First Novel Prize and named a finalist for the Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Award.
Jung Yun's literary contributions have graced the pages of esteemed publications such as Tin House, Massachusetts Review, Indiana Review, The New York Times, The Atlantic, and The Washington Post, among others. In addition to her writing pursuits, Yun holds the esteemed position of Associate Professor of English at The George Washington University and serves on the board of directors at the PEN/Faulkner Foundation.
