Western New England University Explores Entrepreneurial Minded Learning and DEI in Higher Education at Lunch and Learn Event

Western New England University (WNE) invites faculty, staff, and students to a Lunch and Learn Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) event titled "Entrepreneurial Minded Learning and DEI in Higher Education." The event will take place on Wednesday, March 27 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. in Room C at the Blake Law Center. Registration is required at https://bit.ly/LunchandLearnJaiswalMurray.

 This enlightening session will feature distinguished facilitators, Dr. Devina Jaiswal, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and Dr. Lisa Murray, Assistant Professor of Practice. Dr. Bridgette Baldwin, Professor of Law, will serve as the moderator for the event.

Sponsored by the School of Law Outreach and Diversity Committee, the Lunch and Learn aims to foster an environment where diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the forefront of higher education. The focus will be on incorporating DEI concepts into the curriculum to better prepare students for collaboration in diverse workplaces and improve their exposure to various cultures.

The event will delve into the interconnectivity of the entrepreneurial mindset and DEI, aiming to enhance classrooms for the equal benefit of all identity groups. Participants will explore how integrating DEI concepts into educational settings can ignite curiosity, improve connections between students with diverse competencies, and enhance communication skills.

The Lunch and Learn session promises to be an opportunity for attendees to experience integrative learning and positive interactions with diverse peers in a collaborative space.
