Dual Degree Opportunities: MS in Pharmacogenomics

Doctor of Pharmacy Students

Students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program are eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s in Pharmacogenomics degree program during their first year in the PharmD program (PY1), after January 1. Applications should be submitted by March 1, so as to have adequate time for academic advising and fall course selection.

Pursuing both degrees together will save time and money, as both can be earned in the time required to complete the PharmD at a savings of more than $20,000 in tuition.

MSPGx to PharmD Pathway

College graduates interested in earning both a master’s degree and a PharmD degree can complete both degrees within a 5-year period without having to complete pharmacy prerequisite coursework. Students will apply during their second semester in the MSPGx program.

Undergraduate Students in Biology, Health Sciences, or Neuroscience

Students in good standing in these majors are eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s in Pharmacogenomics degree program during their junior year after January 1. Students enrolling through this pathway can potentially earn the graduate degree in as little as one additional summer after earning their BS degree.
