SMILExperience

Unlock the World of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Are you considering applying to a graduate program in pharmaceutical sciences or pharmacogenomics? Would you like to learn more about these fields and their potential future career paths?

You’re invited to the Western New England University Summer Master’s Immersion Laboratory Experience (SMILExperience)!

Join us for our FREE one-week summer program (June 2–6, 2025) for science focused undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, who will be entering their junior, or senior years, and BS graduates. The SMILExperience incorporates discussions with program coordinators regarding the master’s programs offered by the WNE College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences and MS in Pharmacogenomics), lunch sessions with panels of experts in fields that you may be interested in entering, and interactions with current graduate students.

This experience also includes a condensed 1 credit Analytical Techniques laboratory course, that incorporates an array of hands-on pharmaceutical and genetic methodologies. As a SMILExperience participant you have the option to complete all coursework (and pass!) to receive credit for this course (for a value of $2,000) if you decide to pursue either our MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences or MS in Pharmacogenomics, or you can do it just for the experience. The goals of this program are to provide enthusiastic students with applicable skills and career guidance for STEM fields.

Registration will open in January 2025!
