Book Award

Inspiring Future Generations

Each year, the Admissions Office at Western New England University sponsors a Book Award. This award is traditionally given to a student who shows a high level of leadership through extracurricular activities and community service. The recipient of this award is chosen by your high school guidance department and the parameters for selecting the recipient are up to you.

As the sponsoring institution, Western New England University will provide an application fee waiver, a book, and an award certificate for you to present to the recipient. The book provided is normally the same text that members of our incoming first-year class are required to read for their First Year Seminar class. The Western New England University summer reading text is chosen each year to offer opportunities for students to generate scholarly discourse, as well as examine personal perceptions, values, and attitudes.

The 2024 Book Award Nomination is now closed.
