Pioneering Immersive Learning

The Western New England University XR Lab provides students and faculty with hands-on access to cutting-edge virtual, augmented, and mixed reality technologies. Housed in D’Amour Library, this state-of-the-art facility serves as a hub for developing immersive learning experiences, building XR applications, and exploring the latest in virtual content creation and training tools.

The XR Lab offers participants the chance to build their own virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications using industry-standard tools like Unity Engine and Omniverse. With access to advanced hardware such as Meta Quest headsets, HoloLens AR devices, and haptic technology, students can engage in a variety of XR activities, from soft-skills training to complex simulations.
