Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis
Developed in response to the increasing demand for teachers and practitioners trained in best practices for the education and treatment of individuals with autism and related disabilities, the Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis at Western New England University will give working professionals the skills to fill this void. Through a combination of coursework and supervised practical experiences, students completing this program will earn a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and meet the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) requirements for taking the exam to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

What Will You Study?
Through a combination of coursework and supervised practical and research experiences, the aim of the Master's degree program is to train scientist-practitioners in application of behavior analysis toward solving human behavior problems of societal importance (e.g., autism and related disabilities). Students will learn to apply empirically-supported assessment, teaching, and intervention strategies and to analyze the effects of their teaching and intervention programs.

How are courses offered?
Courses will be offered in three of the four 11-week terms scheduled by the Western New England University Graduate Program (fall, winter, and spring terms). Students will be expected to enroll in 4 credit hours in each term to stay on pace to complete the Master’s Program in three years. Accelerated program completion will not be offered.
Faculty
Upon admission to the program, each student is assigned an advisor who functions as a mentor and agrees to oversee the professional development of the student. Advisors are doctoral-level full time faculty or clinical adjunct faculty who are active researchers and leading experts in the field.
