If you are seeking flexibility and the capability to pursue many options in business, the General Business major is an ideal choice. Businesses and other organizations are continually seeking broadly-educated graduates who are well versed in all aspects of business functions that they can train to their business culture. In this program, you will gain that foundation to take your business career in any direction you choose to go. You can enhance your studies with a minor from the College of Business or the College of Arts and Sciences in topics ranging from Entrepreneurship to Communication.

What Will You Study?
The General Business major provides a curriculum that will give you a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of business. General Business students have more options in class selection than students in the other majors in the College of Business. You will take classes that touch on the basic forms of business from accounting to marketing, and statistics to human resources, that will prepare you for entry-level positions but also give you a global understanding of all business functions as you progress into positions of leadership.

Our graduates are prepared to work in management and administration, budget analysis, insurance, banking, and marketing in an unlimited scope of businesses. Clubs & Organizations
Business students have interests in: Alpha Lambda Delta (First-year honor society), Alpha Kappa Psi (Professional business fraternity), and Management Association. Many of our students also participate in varsity and intramural sports, special interest groups, and student government.

All bring active regional, national, and international consulting experience to the classroom. All are involved in research, publish in national journals, and present their work at conferences.
