The dynamic media landscape is changing at an alarming rate, and new opportunities exist for marketers to connect with their consumers. Interactive advertisements, social media marketing tactics, and digital marketing messages apply new technologies that are able to quickly reach consumers worldwide like never before. Students majoring in Marketing Communication/Advertising will receive a strong foundation in integrated marketing communication strategy. In this major, you will also apply what you have learned by creating promotional campaigns for real business clients.

What Will You Study?

As a major in Marketing Communication/Advertising, you will graduate with a degree from an AACSB International accredited University. You will also be required to take an internship where you will gain valuable career experience in the field of marketing communication/advertising. Students take courses where they learn not only how to use their creative ideas to create promotional campaigns, but they gain experience interacting with real business clients and compete in national advertising competitions.

Marketing Communication/Advertising graduates find career opportunities as Marketing Communication Managers, Digital Marketing Specialists, Advertising Sales Representatives, Event Managers, Brand Ambassadors, and Content Directors at a variety of local, regional, and national businesses. The Marketing Communication/Advertising major also prepares students for graduate-level education. Marketing Communication/Advertising students may have interests in: Marketing Association and the Western New England University Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA), Alpha Mu Alpha (American Marketing Association Honor Society), Alpha Lambda Delta (First-year honor society), Alpha Kappa Psi (Professional business fraternity), and Beta Gamma Sigma (Honor Society). Many of our students also participate in varsity and intramural sports, special interest groups, and student government.
