Put Your Skills to Practice
nternships are a great way for students to gain hands-on experience in a specific field—offering learning opportunities that go beyond the traditional classroom setting.
In the College of Business, students can earn up to six credit hours through internships. To be eligible, students need to have completed at least 60 credit hours and hold a minimum GPA of 2.5 both overall and in their major. (If the internship is required for your major or you have special approval from your Dean, exceptions may apply.) Students can also choose to do a nonacademic internship to deepen their knowledge and experience in a particular area, even if they’re not seeking credit.
If you’d like to earn academic credit for your internship, you’ll need to coordinate with the Kevin S. and Sandra E. Delbridge Career Center before you register. Be sure to complete the internship application and get signatures from your academic advisor, department chair, and the internship coordinator.
