As part of that commitment, Western New England University expects all new incoming students (undergraduate, graduate, full or part-time) to complete a very important online training program before the semester begins.
Get Inclusive
Get Inclusive: Voices for Change trains students to develop the knowledge and skills to become active bystanders who intervene whenever anyone is being disrespected, harassed, or endangered. Themes of the training include: Identity & Inclusion, Consent and Sexual Violence, Alcohol & Other Drugs, and Hazing & Intimidation.
The training is interactive, thought provoking, and empowering. We need to embrace and reflect our understanding of these issues now more than ever. Watch your Western New England University email for your invitation or you can start the training here.
BASICS
BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students) is a personal and confidential 2-session “check-up” on student’s use of alcohol with our Alcohol and Drug Educator. Students may be required to attend a meeting or can meet with our Alcohol and Drug Educator voluntarily should they have questions or concerns about their personal relationship with alcohol. Know Your IXs Day
Every month, the University acknowledges the importance of Title IX and provides awareness through the wearing of a Know Your IXs T-shirt. Our goal, to build safe and supportive communities, is advertised through this passive program. T-shirts are free and may be obtained from the Office of Community Standards and Education, located in Campus Center room 226.
