Put Your Skills To The Test
FIRST® Robotics Competition challenges high school students to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors—all while working under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense six-week time limit.
NE FIRST is the operational partner of the FIRST Robotics Competition in the six New England states and is supported by ingenuityNE, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit public charity incorporated in the State of Connecticut.
NE FIRST provides accessible, innovative robotics programs that motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills. It strives to support the FIRST global mission, which is “to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.”
