Western New England University’s Media Relations team is the primary connection between the media and the University. Our goal is to provide effective, unified communication about the University’s mission and activities. We strategically time and distribute University news releases, feature stories, op-eds and other materials to local, state, and national media outlets; pitch story ideas and faculty expert sources directly to targeted reporters; promote upcoming events and maintain a news page featuring the latest information about the University.

Procedures for Media Access

All media personnel interested in capturing images or conducting interviews on University property or with University faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to adhere to the following procedures when seeking to report on WNE activities:

Failure to adhere to the Media Access Policy may result in restricted or revoked media access privileges. WNE reserves the right to limit access to events, facilities, or individuals at any time. Decisions regarding enforcement will be made by the Office of Communications & Public Relations in consultation with University leadership.
