The University will host high school and college students and their parents at an open house on Saturday, March 7, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with registration taking place in the University Commons. The event is free, but advance reservation is requested by calling 413-782-1312 or visiting wne.edu/openhouse.
"This undergraduate open house is intended for all prospective students, regardless of their year in high school or college," says Vice President for Enrollment Management Bryan Gross. "It is an opportunity to come to campus to get a sense of the University's warm and engaging community, while learning about the wide variety of academic programs, our emphasis on inter-disciplinary collaboration, and our vibrant student clubs and activities."
Guests will have the chance to tour the campus and residence halls, meet current students, get a general overview of the admissions and financial aid process, and have academic questions answered by members of the faculty. Included in this open house will be a Women's Breakfast featuring recent alumnae, students, and faculty. The day concludes with an exhibit where students can gather more information on student clubs and activities, honors programs, athletic opportunities at both the NCAA and intramural levels, as well as hear from the Career Development Center regarding the varied internship and career opportunities available to Western New England University students.
