WNE University Psi Chi National Honor Society Welcomes 12 New Members

The Western New England University chapter of Psi Chi National Honor Society welcomed 12 new members at the annual induction ceremony, which took place on May 3, 2022 in Rivers Memorial Hall on the University campus.

Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology. Chapter membership is open to Western New England University students majoring or minoring in psychology. Students must have completed nine credit hours of psychology courses; have a cumulative GPA in the top 35 percent of their academic class or the college that houses psychology; and have a minimum 3.0 GPA average for psychology courses.

The newly inducted members included Abigail Apkarian, Anthony Aureliano, Ajanni Blackman, Ani-Angelique Fernandes-Adorno, Rebecca Friedman, Emilia Garcia, Nicole Gianni, Keeley McTaggart, Janis Negron, Abigail Palchanis, Loredana Randazzo, and Caitlin Tedeschi.

Following the induction ceremony was the presentation of the 2022 Psychology Honor Graduate Award. This award was presented to Lliam Christiano and Cathy Pham.

Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS).
